As part of our birthday celebration month, The Nine Members are warmly invited to attend the opening concert of the second season of Astoria Concerts.
The Astoria Concerts open their autumn series with Belgian piano prodigy Valère Burnon, 3rd Prize and Audience Award winner at the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition.
On 14 September, he will perform Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31, Franck’s Prélude, Choral et Fugue and Claude Ledoux’s A Flower’s Dream - showcasing both 19th-century masterpieces and contemporary brilliance.
From the profound lyricism of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31, op. 110 to the dreamlike colours of Claude Ledoux’s A flower’s dream, and the grandeur of Franck’s Prélude, Choral et Fugue, this program traces a journey of reflection, imagination, and transcendence.
An afternoon with Valère Burnon promises not only virtuosity, but also the rare joy of discovery—an encounter with a rising artist whose voice already resonates with depth and vision.
