#MeToo 7 Years Later: How Our Culture Enables Misbehaving Men
04/12/2024 - From 19h30 - Members & GuestsRegistration mandatory
The MeToo movement, which began as a simple hashtag, sparked a global conversation about sexual harassment and gender inequality.
Since it went viral in 2017, it has led to broad impact and conversations about how we address these issues in both the workplace and society. Yet, seven years later, we are still far from achieving gender equality.
How do we continue to drive change and ensure a lasting impact? What role can we all play in shaping the future?
The Nine is honoured to hear from Reah Bravo, the author of Complicit: How Our Culture Enables Misbehaving Men. Weaving her own experience with those of other women and insights from experts, Bravo reveals the psychological and cultural forces that make us all enablers of a sexist and dangerous status quo.
Joining the discussion will be Benedetta Scuderi MEP, Green/European Free Alliance, and on the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, and Daniel Friedlaender, Senior Vice President & Head of Office, CCIA Europe, who will share his insights and experiences during his 20+ years career in politics, policy, and public affairs.
The discussion will be moderated by The Nine founder, Georgia Mourad Brooks, with an interactive Q&A from the audience. If you would like to share an anonymous question in advance, please contact the events team on events@thenine.be
