Intersectional Women: IWD Workshop & Dialogue

07/03/2024 - From 19h30 - Members & Guests
Registration mandatory

On the eve of International Women’s Day, join us for dialogue and discovery about the intricate interplay between gender and intersectionality. We’ll use activities to explore various aspects of identity, put ourselves in another's shoes, and gain a deeper understanding of how all of us can, together, move the needle towards gender equality and social justice.

Every one of us has intersecting identities (gender, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic background, nationality, sexual orientation, etc.). Bring your intersectional self, invite your intersectional friends, family members, colleagues and acquaintances, and let’s make this an evening to remember!

The session will be led by Tamara Makoni, Brussels-based inclusion specialist and CEO of Kazuri Consulting.

Given the interactive nature of this event, seating is limited to 25pax.

Intersectional Women is an event series that explores the fact that while gender unites us, understanding how our differences result in diverse lived experiences is key to achieving true inclusion and equality for all women. The events bring intersectionality to life and dive under the hood, putting spotlight on workplace experience, urban planning, neurodiversity, accessibility, and more.

“If you don't have a lens that's been trained to look at how various forms of discrimination come together, you're unlikely to develop a set of policies that will be as inclusive as they need to be.” (Kimberlé Crenshaw)
