The Nine On Strike!

For International Women's Day 2024, The Nine is going on strike as part of a campaign pushing for greater gender equality. The clubhouse doors will be open, but there will be no club events nor hosted private events; the women of The Nine are taking the day off.

This move is inspired by the 'women's day off' strike in Iceland, most recently in October 2023, where over 100,000 women, including the country's prime minister, went on strike in protest against gender-based violence and the gender pay gap.

Members of The Nine community will be informally discussing key issues of inequality such as violence against women, the gender pay gap, gender-balanced leadership, and the impact of the deepening wars & conflicts on women.

Everyone who cares for women's rights and gender equality are invited to take the day off and join us.
