What happens when we view Africa through a feminist lens—and feminism through an African one? This thought-provoking discussion explores the intersections of gender, power, and identity, challenging dominant narratives and re-examining feminism beyond Western frameworks.

Drawing from feminist thought, postcolonial theory, and African knowledge systems, this event delves into the role of selfhood in shaping agency and autonomy. Inspired by Minna Salami’s incisive book, we will open new perspectives on the past, present, and future of feminism in an African context.

A compelling conversation for those eager to rethink global feminism through a fresh and intersectional lens.
