Come Discover The Nine's Women's Theatre Company!
Have you always wanted to try acting? Curious about stepping onto a stage, building confidence, or simply having fun in a creative and welcoming environment? Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced performer, this workshop is for you.
Led by actor and director Laure De Man, the session will introduce you to the joy of theatre through fun, accessible exercises designed for all experience levels. You'll get a taste of what it's feels like to bring a character to life, work with others, and experience the magic of acting.
For those who wish to take the adventure further, the workshop also marks the launch of The Nine Women's Theatre Company's new production: A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen. Founded by Laure in 2023, the company has already staged two acclaimed productions at The Nine—Carnage and Art, both by Yasmina Reza.
Each new production offers theatre enthusiasts the opportunity to audition and experience the incredible journey of creating a play from the very first rehearsal to the final performance in front of an audience at The Nine. you can register to the audition HERE.

About Laure De Man :
I've been involved in theater since I was a little girl. Two key experiences shaped that passion: a theatrical activity in class at age 9, and my participation in a school play in which I played Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince. Since then, I've seen a lot of theater, taken part in numerous amateur projects and I've never stopped thinking about it.
After studying law and working for 5 years as a lawyer at the Brussels bar, I finally took the leap. I started taking theater classes at Cours Florent Bruxelles and finished my third year there in 2026. Since then I write, direct and play for theater projects in construction. When @theninebxl opened a few years ago, I had the idea of creating a women's theatre company. I was inspired by the desire to promote women in the world of culture and theatre, which is notably more difficult for them to access due to the nature of the plays and texts in the repertoire, which contain a large majority of male roles.
My idea was to create a space where women play every role, even the male ones. It felt fun to mirror the days of Elizabethan theatre, when women were forbidden to appear on stage, and it was thus men who played their roles. I discovered this in the film 'Shakespeare in Love'.
With this company, I found the joy of directing, helping actors bring a text to life and connecting it to the audience.
