The eight gathering of Another Bookclub, already!

Feminists and booklovers unite: we will discuss feminist books.

Julie Casier, proud feminist and avid reader of different types of books, is taking the lead in this edition. The common thread in about 70% of the books she reads would be feminism or a feminist perspective. She doesn’t really see it as a genre but more as an overarching theme linking her choice of books through different genres.

We are curious and excited to hear and know what you view as feminist books and discuss your recommendations within this theme. Fiction or non-fiction, easy reads or academic, classic or new, sci-fi or memoir, … Looking forward to having this conversation at the Nine, next to the library filled with a wonderful collection of feminist books.

As always: you can just join the party or bring a beloved classic, a recent discovery, a dog-eared favourite from your teenage years, or something wonderfully niche you think more people should know about.

ANOTHER BOOKCLUB = no set titles, no pressure, no prep. Just a small circle, a drink in hand, and generous bookish conversation. Come to share. Or simply to listen and collect new worlds to explore.

Alexia Struye, the host of Another Bookclub, is an Antwerp-based multipotentialite working across the art world. Her roles are many: artist, writer, mentor, coach, project manager, and speaker and all are driven by a deep commitment to creative inquiry and forward thinking. She moves fluidly between making, thinking, advocating and supporting others in the arts.
