Feminism Doesn't Kill | Art x Activism Breakfast
26/11/2025 - From 9h to 11h - Members & GuestsRegistration mandatory
We see the headlines. We hear the stories. From large-scale statistics to personal stories, the news is awash with women being killed by partners and families. Or those appealing to the police again and again, only to be met with silence.
This Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women we bring together art and activism for a meaningful discussion.
Join us as we welcome artist Heather Clarke, who was inspired by a recent story of a police superintendent caught on camera saying, “that’s what she says” to a pregnant woman reporting her rape. In response, Heather turned to art to make these women seen and heard, producing pieces that make up the "Feminism Doesn't Kill" exhibition.
Heather’s textile work is a provocation - as it should be. And this exhibition is a call to all of us: to look, to speak, to act. She will explain her motivation and mission, and if you're unable to attend the discussion, the pieces will be on display for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
A light breakfast will be served.
