Is AI Killing Creativity | The Pop Collective
30/11/2026 - From 19h to 22h - Members & GuestsRegistration mandatory
In the EU bubble, is AI squeezing creativity out even more?
If your briefs, drafts and campaign ideas are already being shaped by the machine, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
We all use some form of AI tool, either shamefully in the shadows, or openly and proudly. What started with editing and proofreading has evolved into op-eds, visuals and sometimes entire campaigns designed with AI tools. And the line between “a tool that helps me create” and “a thing that creates instead of me” moves a little further into territory we used to think of as ours.
What we don’t talk about honestly and openly enough is what it’s doing to the creative part of ourselves: the judgment, the taste, the inspiration that made us want to create in the first place.
This session is designed as a pause. A space to ask, out loud and together, what AI means for human creativity and its future.
Three conversations, one big question:
The AI experience:
How is our use of AI tools reshaping the way we design policies, build campaigns and communicate, now that the machine is in the room where ideas get made?
The debate:
One side argues we should embrace AI; the other argues it’s killing our creativity. Is AI lifting us up or holding us back? What does it mean for jobs across sectors? The debate will pair someone who builds and champions AI tools with someone more sceptical. Which idea will win? You decide.
Where do we draw the line?:
What can legislation do to protect our creativity, and what are our institutions doing to support this?
About the facilitator:
This event is organised by The POP Collective, a community created to give EU professionals a space to think through the questions shaping their work and society, together, out loud and without the usual panel-stage stiffness.
Speakers to be announced.
